Biography

RICHARD SHANKMAN has been a meditator since 1970 and has a master's degree in Buddhist Studies. He teaches regularly at several Bay Area dhamma groups and is active in bringing meditation and dhamma to prisons. He is a co-founder of the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies. He has recently completed an 11 month intensive meditation retreat at the Forest Refuge in Massachusetts.
